Five finalists in the competition for the Itzal Aktiboa Prize 2013

A jury of 12 leading personalities in the world of contemporary art in the Basque Country has selected five young artists as finalists for the 2013 Itzal Aktiboa Contemporary Art Prize.
The five finalists are: Verónica Domingo, from Getxo-Las Arenas (Bizkaia); Anne-Laure Garicoix, from Donibane Garazi-Saint Jean Pied de Port (Lower Navarre); María Jiménez Moreno, from Zizur Nagusia (Navarre); Bérenger Laymond, from Bidarte (Labourd); and Thomas Loyatho, from Hazparne-Hasparren (Labourd).
Their work will be exhibited in three locations in Saint Jean Pied de Port from 4 October to 3 November 2013.
The competition is being organised in collaboration with the Basque Cultural Institute as part of its Hogei'ta programme, with the support of the municipality of Saint Jean Pied de Port. Two other prizes will also be awarded: the Saint Jean Pied de Port Prize and the Nautilus-Lanzarote Prize. The winners will be announced during the exhibition.
