Silvia Delgado À€Æ’''lvarez lives in La Habana. Born into a family of painters, she was for many years a member of one of the leading choirs of the Cuban capital. Women form the principal theme of her work, because, as she herself relates, "I see myself reflected in each one of them… Women represent beauty, strength, determination, delicacy and motherhood. In my work, I depict them in all the splendour and prestige that they deserve."
